Villum Kann Rasmussen's simple but brilliant idea of making a roof window from wood with metal cladding is still delighting customers after 75 years. However, plenty has happened since the first VELUX roof window saw the light of day in 1942. The product, with new features and functionalities, has conquered markets all over the world, and the VELUX Group has grown from a small enterprise into a global market leader.
